Sound by natural Resonances of glass tubes with guitar and RP3M

Recorded in 2009, by direct raw material sounds through 2 x dynamic Microphones, no additional sounds effects

The piece was composed in 2009,  and it's for my live performance.
The sounds are made by the natural resonances of specific glass tubes which are stimulated by sounds coming from custom tuning on guitar which is played by small motors controlled by my handmade machine  “RP3M - Roll Paper Punching Program Machine”.
I have done the performance in a few times around 2009-2010. Unfortunately I have no footage and even no sound recording. Then the piece had been changed to be compact and mobile which is no using RP3M. But now I think using it was remarkable idea. Because the machine is unstable, depending on the state of holes, and this creates most interesting situations.
I have kept only a test recording which was earlier idea for making composition. I found and listened it, then I noticed it was manifested the pure and  raw intention of mine. Here we hear gradually varying resonances.
 I may make a new recording in a future, but I decided to release the first take here.

ゆっくりとしたリズム、ギターの音に反応する共鳴フィードバック。
自然現象を作曲の構造に組み入れようと考えていた時期の作品であり、2009年にパフォーマンス用に作曲したものである。
ロールペーパーによるパンチ穴式プログラム機械「RP3M」とそれにより制御される小型モーターにより特別なチューニングを施したギターを鳴らし、その音によりガラス管の多様な共鳴を引き起こす仕組みである。
このパフォーマンスは手持ちで運ぶには少々苦労があったので2009年-2010年という短い期間の数回でのみ公演を行った。その後RP3Mを用いない可搬性の高い形態へと変化した。また同時期に、光栄なことにRP3Mを用いた私の公演をご覧になった方によるロールペーパーによるプログラミングと小型モーターで何かを叩いたり揺らす仕組みを連結したRP3Mの構造を模倣した作品も現れたりしたので、装置自体をあまり使わなくなってしまった。
しかし今考えるとRP3Mによるこの楽曲の仕組みは非常に興味深い。用紙の強度や穴の形状の変化、電気的接触の不安定さにより、予期せぬ変化を生む。特にガラス管の自然共鳴を励起させるためのギターの強弱を生む仕組みとしては、効果的であった。
正式の録音記録は無いが、アトリエにて記録した初案の記録物を発見した。改めて聞き直したところ、この初案が最も純粋に作品の意図を体現していると思えたので、ここに公開することにする。
